Home Visits

Doctor's bag

To ask for a clinician to visit you at home, please ring the surgery (Monday to Friday).

If you think you can manage along to the surgery, we would ask that you please do that, as our clinicians have all the support there needed to treat you. Many home visits are carried out by a team of clinicians directly employed by Aberdeen Health and Social Care Partnership.

This also helps us - travelling time when out and about means that a clinician can see perhaps 6 or 7 home visits in a day, but would be able to deal with 30-40 patients in the same day if they stay in the practice.

Please give as much information as possible when requesting a home visit.

The doctor is allowed to weigh up carefully whether you need to be seen and if so, where and when; and may therefore telephone before agreeing to a home visit.
